Bonjour!

This past May Eddie and I spent our 6 year wedding anniversary exploring London and Paris. It was Eddie's first time traveling abroad and my first time in Paris. After our wedding we went on what we called a "mini-moon" to Palm Springs since we had to hold off on taking our actual honeymoon. With bated breath we finally made the journey. Here are some highlights from this magical trip!

A view from the airplane
One of our first stops, Windsor Castle
 on our way to Stonehenge
pretty amazing about the new discoveries that were just unearthed of 15 previously unknown late Neolithic monuments at Stonehenge, which you can read about on the Smithsonian website
white horse of dover (shot through the window while driving)
We ventured to the untouched village of Lacock
the famous blue door from Harry Potter!
beautifully preserved streets of Lacock
Bath Abbey, where there are ladders on either side of the church with Angels ascending into heaven
London Eye
From the gates outside Buckingham Palace
We walked the gorgeous gothic halls of Westminster Abbey after lighting candles for our loved ones

An awesome street performer!
We happily stumbled upon a Moomin shop in Covent Garden
And now our journey continues in Paris...
Fontaines de la Concorde in the center of Paris
so many great comic book shops
Gardens of Versailles
 Along the Seine
 a visit to Reims
Peonies, my favorite flower at an outdoor market in Le Marais
 window reflection
Our first time visiting Notre Dame Cathedral was kind of an emotional one. With the help of this wonderful frenchman, Jean-Pierre, we rescued a pigeon that was literally being trampled and beaten up by some other pigeons. It was definitely one of our most memorable moments.
Jardin des Tuileries
Our favorite Metro station, Arts et Métiers

In the Louvre
This painting in the Musée d'Orsay was just so incredibly emotive, you have to see it in person to truly appreciate its beauty
My morning view in the bar at our fabulous Hotel Jules et Jim :)
afternoon doodle and a cup of café crème
Crêpes, oh so many crêpes!

We didn't realize how elated we would be visiting the Eiffel Tower, we had such a romantic experience we returned several times
champagne at the top of the Eiffel Tower

Our last day in Paris we woke up early and returned to the Eiffel Tower one last time
au revoir!
